We are doing another mix & mingle in October at Alton’s where they have 40 wines by the glass! We’ll meetup here and have some drinks and socialize while enjoying the excellent service. Alton’s will be putting out a wonderful spread of appetizers and cheese for us to taste and they have an excellent menu for dinner as well. Click here for menu

We will be mingling in the bar area that holds more than 100 people. They have an excellent cozy, fine dining atmosphere and often host wine dinners as well. Come check it out with us! This is not a wine tasting, just a casual meetup with each member being responsible for their own tab.

Alton’s Kitchen and Cocktails is a new restaurant in Cornelius that opened in February in the former Charleston Chops and Mia Famiglia space, in the Jetton Village III retail center.

Alton’s features such offerings as Tuna Poke with Avocado, Traditional Maine Lobster Roll, BBQ Shrimp and Cast Iron Beef Medallions. They also have a Happy hour special daily called “The Peninsula Special” from 4pm-6pm that is a 3-course meal! I’ve tried the Filet mignon and twice baked potato and I highly recommend both! Delicious. Wednesday they have a 1.5lb Lobster dinner special too!

Entrées cost $9 to $23, with $6.50 house specialty martinis, a selection of wines by the glass or bottle and bottled and draft beers from around the world.

A small-plate menu will be available for bar patrons.

Since the Davidson meetup for this first week in October is full, we thought we would add another fun Wine tasting for Thursday in Mooresville!!! Only $10 for this tasting. Let’s meet up for some wines and music on the Patio!

The Wine Maestro is a really fun and trendy place that just opened up last year in Mooresville, right in the shopping center off Brawley School Rd. and Williamson Road.

Jamie puts out a wonderful spread of goodies and you can enjoy 4-5 tastes of wines for only $10! Members will enjoy the wonderful music on the patio by Don Berg (70’s & 80’s). You can also spend time shopping inside — the store is full of fabulous wine gifts, bottles of really hard to find wines, wine clothes, kitchen equipment, and more! I can’t ever seem to get out of here without buying an armful of wines and gifts.

The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They introduced me to the Molly Dooker wines that just came out and I LOVE them! I bought 3 bottles! Tell them what you like and they will point you in the right direction.

Come out in your best Black & White outfits!! We will be drinking a grand selection of White wines, and light crisp wines for the summer time! (The Corkscrew also has beer too) So, come join us for a summer night of fun. This will be fun and also a cool photo opportunity for the group. We have has such an amazing 2 and a half years of fun!

We’ll be relaxing on the patio, enjoying some wine and cheese, and good friends’ company. This wine tasting will consist of just white wines and sparkling wines from different regions! Even if you aren’t a white wine fan, there will be something that you will enjoy. You don’t necessarily have to do the tasting to come and partake in the wine drinking either! There will be specials by the glass on reds, beers, and more.

It’s the same as always! 4-5 Wines picked by the wonderful staff at the Corkscrew along with some tasty snacks and cheese for only $10 CASH charge. This event is so popular that we often get about 40-50 attendees. Now that the weather is starting to warm up, I imagine that our group will be larger this time and overtake their patio area! I will send out an email later with the actual wines we will be tasting.

Joe Klosek , the manager at the Corkscrew often hand picks the selection for us and members have been very happy in the past meetups! If you are interested in ordering some bottles of wines after the tasting, the lovely staff will be able to arrange that for you as well.

Please remember to bring cash. Pay and receive your name tag. There will also be specials by the glass and bottle if you prefer to not do the tasting, or if you would like a glass after you’ve sampled the wines.

Please be responsible. Don’t drink and drive. If you need a cab or a designated driver to drive your car home for you, we can easily arrange that as well!

The Wine Loft Mooresville
